Strengthening Texas

Power for the Plains Projects

Through the Power for the Plains Projects we are in the process of building more than $3 billion in new transmission lines and related facilities spanning portions of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma to help improve electric reliability, strengthen the existing transmission grid and provide outlet for additional renewable wind generation. Construction on the 168-mile TUCO-Yoakum-Hobbs 345 kilovolt transmission line is expected to be complete in June 2020.
